Privacy Policy

Effective date: 16 October 2026

SpinBeat is an indoor cycling app for iPhone and iPad provided by Selko B.V. This policy explains how the app, this support website and support correspondence handle information.

The short version

SpinBeat stores your workout records on your device. The app does not require an account and does not send your workout records to a server operated by Selko B.V. We receive personal information if you choose to contact us.

1. Who is responsible?

Selko B.V., Netherlands, is responsible for personal information it processes in connection with SpinBeat. For support or privacy questions, email sheilafinkbeiner33@gmail.com.

2. Information on your device

SpinBeat stores custom workouts, favourites, planned rides, ride history, session progress and app preferences locally. Ride records may include workout details, duration, completion status, dates and the time zone associated with a session. These records enable the app’s workout, planning and history features.

The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not access HealthKit, your contacts or precise location. Workout targets are not sensor measurements.

3. Backups and Apple services

Local app data may be included in device backups depending on your Apple settings. SpinBeat does not operate its own cloud synchronisation service. Apple manages its App Store, device backup and any system diagnostics services under its own terms and privacy practices.

4. When you contact support

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer your request, investigate problems and maintain relevant support records. Please send only information needed to describe the issue.

Where applicable, we process support correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interests in supporting users, maintaining the app and resolving issues, or to comply with legal obligations. Email providers process correspondence as part of delivering and hosting email. Our support address uses Gmail; service providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area, subject to applicable transfer safeguards.

5. This website

These pages do not include advertising, analytics scripts, contact forms or embedded third-party media. The hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser details and access times, to deliver the pages and protect its service. Information processed by the hosting provider is also subject to that provider’s privacy practices.

6. Sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal information. Support information may be processed by providers needed to deliver email or support, or disclosed where legally required. We retain correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request, maintain relevant records or meet legal obligations. Local workout records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app, subject to device backups.

7. Deletion and your choices

Use Settings → “Reset local data” in SpinBeat to delete local user records and preferences. Finish or discard any active ride before resetting. This does not remove the bundled catalogue or delete existing device backups. Manage backups separately in Apple’s settings.

We cannot remotely access, export or delete workout records held only on your device. To request deletion of support correspondence, contact us at the email above. We may need to retain some information where required by law.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information we hold, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to receive portable data where that right applies. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Contact us to exercise your rights.

9. Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
